urgent notice regarding travel restriction related to COVID-19: Nepal government starts stopping issuing on-arrival VISA to travelers. This starts from 14 March until 30 April 2020. Those people who want to visit Nepal can obtain a visa beforehand. They can obtain from the Nepal Embassy as well as the consulate office of Nepal that is based on their home country.

Those people who want to come need to submit the health certificate that declares them as coronavirus free. This should produce a maximum seven days earliest before the time of arrival in Nepal. Those people who already have a visa from the embassy also need to submit a health certificate. It is necessary to submit the certificate seven days earlier before they arrive in Nepal. After arriving in Nepal it’s compulsory to stay self-quarantine for a minimum of 14 days’ time.

World health organizations declared the COVID-19 as the global pandemic crisis. This made the government step forward and take his serious decision about the arrival visa and stay in quarantine.  The first notice was issued on 9 March where 5 most affected countries were listed on the suspension list. Those countries are China, South Korea, Iran, Italy, and Japan. Now with the increase in numbers of the confirmed cases in the countries under the European Union few countries are added on suspension. Those countries are Germany, Spain, and France. They keep in suspension on 9 March 2020.
