After breakfast, there are two options for the day which is normal and challenging. The normal is that you can go to the Chhukhung village (4730 m) which is the starting point of island peak climbing and can go to Kongma la pass.

The harder options are to climb the Nangkartshang hill just above the Dingboche which is very hard and a good viewpoint of the mountain that we had passed behind and can see few more such as Makalu and many more. Stay overnight in Dingbochea in full board.

09

We will start the day with the climb to Thokla (Dughla) through the Khumbu Khola valley. The trek along the arid terrace is awarded with awesome views of mountains on all sides. As we come to the yak herder's place called Dusa, the valleys begin to narrow and continue through Phulung Karpo of the campsites during the first successful Everest expeditions in 1953.

After crossing the small metal bridge we will reach Dughla from where we start to trek up the steep terminal moraine of the Khumbu glacier. We can find our way through the boulder-strewn slope as we ascend Chupki Lhara, an eerie ridge top with a dramatic change in mountain view. At the top, after walking for about 1 hour we will find an arrow of stones with very nice Tibetan prayer flags around there surrounded by the memorials of a famous person who has died in Everest expeditions.

From 10 times Everest climbed Babu Tshering Sherpa to American mountaineer Scott Fisher memorials can be seen over there who perished on a mission to climb Everest and it is the best way to rest (relax) after that Thokla hard up. We are in the vicinity of Everest but the highest mountains of the world remain hidden.

Walking the side of the world's biggest glacier Khumbu we will not be able to see it but can have many Mountain views such as Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori, and Mahalangur Himal. This is the place where begins thin air and hard to breathe due to high altitude and less oxygen. Overnight stay in warm Himalayan Eco resort and full board provided.

The trail to Gorakshep goes ahead through the lateral moraine of the Khumbu glaciers. We pass through the pyramid signpost. Ahead on the trail, we see the crest of the north ridge of Everest along with MT. Pumori, Mahalangur, Lingtem, Khumbutse, Nuptse, etc. a small ascent would take us to Thangma Riju from where we perceive a 360-degree vista of snowy mountains.

Climbing steeply up to the top through the torrent of Changri glacier, we see our first glimpse of Kala Patthar, a gray-green knoll beneath Mt. Pumori. As we reach Gorakshep, we will be surrounded by snow-capped mountains looming all around us including the top of the world Mount Everest.

After a brief lunch and rest, we take the trail to Everest base camp through the once-past Gorekshap Lake. Continuing straight ahead, we come through the Indian Army mountaineer's memorials. As we reach Everest base camp we cannot stop ourselves from appreciating the Everest climbers who take hazardous route through the Khumbu icefall.

In the spring we can see mountaineer's tents stand out in bright colors against all the dull gray surroundings. Nuptse, Khumbuste, and Pumori are the mountains we can view from base camp. Everest cannot be seen from the base camp properly, so we need to wait until the next day morning to up the Kala Patthar hill, or those who are interested in ho Kala Patthar on the same day can go with our guide or Sherpa.

Overnight stay in the local guesthouse at Gorekshap and full board provided.

11

Today is the climax of our trip. We start early in the morning hike to catch the dramatic views from Kala Patthar witnessing the first light of the day shining on Mount Everest. However, we need to get prepared for an early morning, dark and cold temperature (-10 to -14 c) departure beforehand.

We can see familiar peaks like Lingtren, Khumbutse, and Changtse Tower to the east even as begin to reveal their emerging between the west shoulder crest and Nuptse. When climbing the Kalapatther we can pause to catch our breath at several places from where we can have an outstanding viewpoint to snap pictures of the highest mountain.

After several hours of walking, we will be at the best view Point in the world called Kalapatther where we scramble to climb the rocky outcrop near the summit marked by prayer flags. As we reach the top, we sit on the Kala Patthar rocks our eyes taking in the unbelievable Himalayan panorama, wandering from one mighty massif to another.

We can take pictures of how much we can take and also take the inner view with our minds and eyes to last a lifetime. On being back to Gorakshep, we have breakfast and wait for those who have gone to Everest base camp. After they arrived back at the hotel take a descent back to the Ferichea for a good night's rest at lower altitude. The full board was provided.

Besides that, there is also tap water which is normal water for drinking. All local guides and porters drink this water and tourists also drink this water. Some people drink it with water guard tablets where as some drink it without any purifying tablets.
