Island peak climbing is at the top of the Imja Khola valley in the Khumbu region. This is just above the summer settlement of Chhukung, surround by the Imja, Lhotse and Lhotse Shar glaciers. It offers a worthwhile challenge to the experienced winter mountaineer. Island peak competent in using ice Axe and crampons. This is technically straight forward. It is the most difficult section due to mixed rock as well as an ice wall. Likewise, this is at the slope of around 45 degrees leading to the narrow summit ridge. The climb will operate at the end of a trek when everyone is fully able to play with altitude. Island peak is named “Island Peak ” in 1952 AD. Named by a climbing team of Eric Shipton. Island peak from Kathmandu

Island peak climbing is starting with sightseeing activities in Kathmandu valley. Before briefing about climbing, you will visit Bouddhanath, Pashupatinath, Swyambhunath. Likewise, Bhaktapur durbar square and Kathmandu durbar square is also an important place to see. After having training in island peak base camp the next morning people start climbing. We will return along Imja Khola to Dingboche. We will head back to Namcha bazaar after the success of the climbing. Similarly, On the way back to Kathmandu you will feel proud to get the victory on 6000 m mountain.

Itinerary

Upon arrival at Kathmandu Airport, our representatives will pick you from Kathmandu international airport. We will take you to the hotel at Thamel after some time we will take you to the office where we will discuss the trip. We will have cultural dinner at the cultural restaurant.

Today after breakfast tour guide and driver will pick you for visiting different sightseeing places I Kathmandu. We will visit Pashupatinath temple Buddha nath stupa as well as monkey temple in evening we have enough time for track preparation buying last minutes sopping.

Today early in the morning we will fly to lukla airport where we will began our journey we well walk 3 hrs to reach Phakding where we will stay overnight. During Today’s walk we will avable to catch different Mountain View and pass different villages.

Today we will walk 6 hrs to rich Namche bazaar from Phakding village along the way we will pass Benker, Monjo, Jorsella village as well as Hillary suspension bridge. Today is the day we will enter Sagarmatha conversation area as well as able to see first view of Everest. We can only able to see Everest is the weather clears. Namche bazzer is a big village and famous as Sherpa capital it is on an elevation of 3440m above sea level we will stay our night in this village.

Today is the rest day of our trip. Instate of staying ideal we will do some hiking and walking. We will hike to Everest view hotel or Syangboche viewpoint. We will walk around 600m above from Namche. From the viewpoint, we will able to see Thamserku, Kusum Kangaroo, Amadablam, Everest, Khangteka, and many more. After the hike, we will have lunch and then have enough time to walk around the market. We can also visit museum in Namche. We will stay at night in Nemche.

Today we will walk around 6 hrs. To reach Tengboche along the way we will see different mountains as well as spectacular view. We will pass the rhododendron forest and different smell villages. In the evening we will visit Tengboche monastery to see puja. Tengboche is the biggest monastery in this area. We can see Everest and many others mountain from this village. We will stay our night in the wonderful village.

Today we will walk around 6 hrs from Tengboche to Pheriche. Pheriche is a windy valley with the flowing river on a side of the village . This village has a wonderful view of loubecha peak, Taubeche peak, and Amadablam mountain. We will stay night in pheriche villege.

After breakfast we will start walking towards Laubecha village we will walk for 6hrs.we will pass Thukla and Thukla pass before entering the Laubecha part. Thukla pass is also known as memory place we can see 100 of memorial who died during Everest expeditions. We will stay night in Laubecha and get ready to face Everest base camp the next day.

Today is the big day of our hike. We will start early in the morning after breakfast we will walk 3 hrs. To reach Gorekshep village we will take our room and keep our luggage in the room. We will have a small lunch before us heading towards base camp. Walking on the side of Khumbu glacier we will able to reach base camp on 2 hrs time. Base camp is set on a Khumbhu glacier that is why we have to walk on glacier we will stop around half hour on base camp to enjoy our self and taking pictures. During the claiming time we will able to see many peoples and tents. After walking back we will gate back to sleep early because we have to weak up early in the morning.

We will wake up around 4 o’clock and stay walking towards Kalapathar view point. We will walk with the headlamp and can see also many others trekkers walking. We will reach the top of Kalapathar before sun rise. We can enjoy the close Everest view and sun rise view from here. Kalapathar is the best view point for Everest and many others mountain we can also enjoy seeing Everest base camp and Khumbhu ice fall from Kalapathar top. Walking back,having breakfast and walking all the way down to Dingboche for overnight stay.

Today we well walk 3 hrs from Dingboche to reach Chhukung village. Along the way we will see many mountains and peaks. On the way we will also available to see many yaks grazing. Chucking is the lodge village serving trekkers and climbers in this area. We will also check all the equipment’s required for climbing and stay night in Chhukung village.

Today we head to island peak base camp. It is fairly step trail but it is must challenging trail then earlier days. We will have tented overnight in island peak base camp. Today we will able to see Amadablam and many other mountains while walking.

Today is the toughest and must exciting day of our journey. Today we will be doing some preparation for the next day. We will also do some rope climbing preparations and learn more about harness crampons and ice axe. Our expert climbing guide will brief you about next day plans and teach you how to used climbing gears.

The most waiting and excreting part of our journey has finally arrived. Today we will be climbing the summit we will begin our summit starting around 2 am in the morning the main reason to start so early is because in the afternoon strong winds blow whose becomes barrier for successful summit . It is important to reach top before noon. On reaching the top our experts guide will take you’re some of the best pictures on the top. He will also tell you more about other possible mountain that we will see from the top. After spending some of the quality time will leave summit and back to base camp where other crew waits for us. Once we reach on base camp we will have some rest the trek our path back to Chhukung for overnight stay.

Today we will return back to Tengboche village we will also pass Inga khola as well as Tengboche village before reaching Tengboche.

We will walk 5 hrs. Down to Nemcha Bazaar on reaching Namche bazaar we can celebrate the island peak climbing as well as Everest base camp. There are many bars and pubs to do a celebration meeting peoples and enjoying our self. We will be staying nights on Namche bazaar.

We had long 8hrs. Walk today passing different villages on the way. Lukla is also a nice town with a facility like bank ATM, pups, shops, and many more. We will defiantly stay the night at Lukla.

We will have an early breakfast and go to Lukla airport to Checking. After plain arrived we will have 30mins flight to Kathmandu. After arriving in Kathmandu we will drive to the Thamel where we stay our night.

Today is the rest day of our trip we will slow down the things and do many things on our owns. We well do shopping and walk around thamel on our own in the evening company will provide farewell dinner as well as cultural show

Today is the last day of your journey to Nepal. On the way back home we will have plenty of time to remember our trek moments and plan your next visit to Nepal.

Most of the people do island peak climbing along with Everest base camp trek. Some people even do it along with Everest three high pass trek or some other treks. The days for doing climbing depends on routes. Some people do island peak climbing directly. It will be able to do from 10 to 15 days altogether depends on climber's speed and capability.

The island peak climbing is the same as the other peaks and mountain climbing. We also need to understand about crampons, blizzard, and many more things.
