After retiring from the military, he started his trekking-related career as a porter. Being strong and fit, he was excellent at pottering about, but with his intelligence and love for clients, he started to work as an assistant guide and lead the many trekking regions of Nepal, such as Langtang, Annapurna, and Everest.
After working for a few years as an assistant guide, he now works as a guide in Nepal.
