The Everest Base Camp Short Trek is designed for those who dream of stepping on the base camp of the world's highest mountain but don't have a long time. Magic Himalaya Treks is the leading adventure company based in Kathmandu, Nepal. This company has designed a short trek to Everest base camp for people’s ease.

A short trek to Everest Base Camp takes you to an elevation of 5364 meters above sea level near the Khumbu icefall. On the day of Everest Base Camp, you will be standing on the Khumbu glacier. This glacier is also the Everest base camp, and the base camp is on the Khumbu glacier. The Everest base camp changes with the movement of the glaciers.

Everest Base Camp is where the expedition group sets up their camp before the technical part of the Everest expedition starts. During the expedition season of March and May, we can witness thousands of tents with different names and brands on them. We are also able to see many yaks carrying expedition equipment and food to the climbers. The base camp resembles a market, featuring various types of music, Sherpa guides, porters, and expedition groups.

The short 10-day Everest base camp trek journey starts with a scenic flight from Kathmandu International Airport to Lukla Airport. While flying from Kathmandu, be seated on the left side of the small plane to see the magnificent mountain view along with some monasteries and villages on the hills below. Having breakfast and meeting porters at Lukla excites people to start the journey towards Phakding, following the Dudh Koshi River.

The next day, the short trek to Everest begins, also following the Dudh Koshi River. We will pass lots of suspension bridges along the way, including the Hillary Suspension Bridge. The Hillary Bridge is on the climb, which is before the first viewpoint of Everest peak. Today, we will enter Namche Bazaar, a key town on this route and the Sherpa capital. Passing Tengboche, Pangboche, and Dingboche, we will reach the Loubache. Loubecha is almost 5000 meters in elevation, and it is harder to sleep during the night.

The Everest short trek's first part is the next day, from Loubecha to Gorekshap. The second part is Base Camp, an important day for those people who have a dream to stand at the base of the world's highest mountain. In this way, the short trek to Everest base camp takes you to the base of Sagarmatha. Then turn back to Lukla and return to Kathmandu.
