Begin your first trek of the journey from Taplejung. Enjoy a leisurely downhill walk through the lovely Sinwa village and stroll along the beautiful Tamor River. As you go toward Chirwa, take in the beauty of the surroundings.

Your destination for the day will be this charming village, which provides a cozy and welcoming vibe to rest and recharge before continuing your adventure.


Set out from Chirwa on a long day of hiking. Enter the majestic Kanchenjunga Conservation Area while passing through Tapethoke. A suspension bridge must be crossed before reaching the lovely village of Lelep.

As you continue your trek in this alluring area, take in the picturesque views and immerse yourself in the rich natural surroundings.


You will head out of Lelep, passing via several suspension bridges and waterfalls. Wander through a lush forest while passing the charming tiny towns of Jonggim and Ghaiyabari.

You will arrive in Amjilosa, a little settlement primarily serving as a yak and sheep pasture. As you continue your trekking journey, you can enjoy the distinctive cultural encounters and the captivating sceneries.


You will go to Gyabla, commonly known as Kyapra, after delighting in a full breakfast in Amjilosa. The trail travels through a forested area and an area empty of habitation.

The beautiful scenery and the area's peace provide a calming atmosphere as you climb uphill during your journey.

Make your approach towards the lovely village of Gyabla slowly and carefully. This small mountain village greets you with its raw appeal and provides a window into the way of life in the area.


From Gyabla, set off on a walk through a lovely forest path. Traverse the village of Phale, famous for housing a Tibetan refugee camp formed decades ago. As you continue your journey, you will arrive at Ghunsa, a popular rest point for acclimatization on the Kanchenjunga trail.


Take a well-earned day off at Ghunsa to help your body adjust to the higher altitude. Explore the monastery and get acquainted with the customs and culture of the area. You can also climb a ridge to reach a viewpoint with a lovely view of Jannu Peak.

The day starts with a hike with a steady rise from Ghunsa to Kambachen. Keep an eye out for elusive snow leopards and blue sheep if you're lucky as you go through beautiful pine forests.

Along the trail, go cautiously through any landslide-prone regions. As you pass through the green glacial valley, you can admire the magnificent vista of Mount Jannu. You will eventually arrive at the peaceful village of Kambachen.


Utilize a much-needed day off at Kambachen to unwind and adjust to the higher altitude. Explore the gorgeous local glaciers, picturesque vistas, and tranquil lakes to fully immerse yourself in the breathtaking natural surroundings.

This day will also give you time to prepare for your planned exciting trip: a visit to Kanchenjunga's North Base Camp. Before continuing your trekking journey in this beautiful area, take time to relax, rest, and rejuvenate.


From Kambachen, you will set out on a trail that will take you along the Kanchenjunga Glacier. The lovely Ramdang and Ramdang Monastery will be accessible as you travel by.

As you continue your climb, you will encounter a difficult trail that intersects the Lhonak and Kanchenjunga glaciers. You will eventually reach Lhonak, a settlement that serves as yak pastures in the summer


Following breakfast, the journey ascends gradually while following the trails along the path of the Kanchenjunga Glacier. You will arrive at the Kanchenjunga North Base Camp, also known as Pangpema, which is draped with prayer flags.

You will travel the trail that joins the route going to the South Base Camp as the trek progresses. As you go to Sele Le, take in the calm surroundings and lose yourself in the remote forests of this alluring area.


The trek starts early in the morning toward Kanchenjunga South Base Camp. Following a ridge that leads to the Sinelapche La Pass, you will cross the Sinion La Pass. The charming village of Cheram will then be reached as you continue to down the trail.


From Cheram, go out on a walk to Ramche, where you can stop for lunch. You'll arrive at the spectacular Kanchenjunga South Base Camp after a 40-minute hike. The route today from Cheram/Tseram to Torongding is primarily downhill. You'll walk across a gorge and move through lush forests as you travel. Be ready for an uphill climb in the landslide-prone area as you get closer to the hike's end. Before you get to Torongding, where there are a few tea houses, you won't come across any community.


Start your walk at Torongding, then ascend steeply after a portion of downhill walking. After that, you will go through the lush forest as you follow the trail that leads to Lasiya Bhanjyang. A steep descent through the lively surroundings leads the way as you take in the area's stunning natural surroundings. Finally, you will reach Yamphuding, a lovely settlement.


Starting from Yamphuding, the walk descends to lower elevations. The trail passes through charming villages with terraced fields, giving you a taste of the local way of life. Then you can take in the river's magnificent splendor as you continue along the trail along Kabeli Khola's banks. You will eventually arrive in the charming village of Khebang.
