Fantastic trek. Every detail was organized perfectly by our guide Nabin during our trip to Nepal. In April 2018 we visited Nepal to do the 3 High Passes Trek to Everest Base Camp in the Khumbu Valley.
Nabin met us at Tribhuvan Airport in Kathmandu and organized all the accommodation, porters, and internal flights. He knows all the best places to stay – hotels in Kathmandu and teahouses in the Khumbu Valley. Nabin is very safety conscious and makes regular health checks as you ascend in altitude. As we crossed Kongma La (5528m), the first high pass, my daughter developed mild altitude sickness.
Nabin was well equipped with medication, porters and a clear plan to assist her to a lower altitude where she recovered then walked herself across the La Bouche Glacier to the teahouse in Lobuche. From here we were able to rest before continuing up to Gorak Shep and Kala Patthar. Nabin is flexible and can change internal flights in the case of bad weather or other alterations to the itinerary.
We are returning to Nepal in December 2022 for a winter trek of the Mardi Himal in the Annapurna Sanctuary. We love this trek and I am looking forward to my next trek to Annapurna base camp.
