Visit Nepal decade 2023-2033
The Nepal government has announced to celebrate the year 2023 to 2033 as the Visit Nepal Decade. The Monastery of culture, tourism and civil Aviation said this. This is said while making a working procedure to revive the tourism sector which is hit hard by Covid-19 Pandemic. This visit Nepal decade 2023-2033 will be announce within a three months time period.
Similarly, the Ministers have planned to bring the airports in use. They will bring airport in use which are not in use now. This will be an alternative airport which is a big boost for tourism and travelling. The Ministry is also going to conduct a campaign ‘One Nepali one Foreign Friend Send Nepal’. This campaign is going to conduct under the leadership of the Non-Resident Nepali Association. The main aim of this campaign is to increase the Number of international visitors to Nepal.
Tourism Recovery action Plan
The cultural, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Jeevan Ram Shrestha also unveiled the 73-point tourism recovery action plan. Under the action plan, the government will offer attractive discounts to foreign film producers, artists and crew for shooting in Nepal. The Minister also said that the Nepal government will also host an international conference of tourism ministers from South Asia nation s in the future.
The Ministry said that the Government is also planning to start a campaign ‘Night Heritage Tour’. They tour will be in Kathmandu city, Bhaktapur durbar square, Patan durbar square as well as Kirtipur area. Likewise the government is also going to establish the crisis Management unit. This unit will work for the safe stay of tourist and international travelers in Nepal.
This kinds of steps from Nepal government will help tourism sector revive well after corona virus pandemic. However, as the cases of COVID started decaling this year. Now, over 50,000 tourist per months are visiting the Himalayan nation Nepal. The increase of an international tourist started from year 2022.
