Mountain Expedition: Nepal is known as a Himalayan country in the world. Nepal Himalaya has a northern border with Tibet. Likewise, the total Himalayan range runs from the Karakoram in Afghanistan to Burma in the east. Out of the total Himalayas range, 25% of the Himalayas are in Nepal. There are about 1310 identified Himalayan peaks in Nepal. Out of these, 326 peaks have been opened for mountaineering and peak climbing. That peak ranges from 6000-meter trekking peaks to 8000-meter expedition peaks. Mount Everest (8848 m), the world’s highest mountain, and the third-highest, Mount Kanchenjunga (8586 m), lie in Nepal.
In fact, out of the total 14 peaks above 8000 m in the world for mountain expeditions, Among those, eight of them are in Nepal. Besides Everest and Kanchenjunga, the other six tallest peaks include Lhotse (8516 m), Makalu (8481 m), and Cho Oyu (8201 m). Likewise, Dhaulagiri I (8167 m), Manaslu (8156 m), Nanga Parbat (8126 m), and Annapurna I (8091 m) are others.
