While flying back, it flies over the base camp and close to Khumbu icefall. The helicopter follows the Khumbu glacier on the return journey. Stop sometime in the Everest View Hotel, then fly back to Kathmandu. This Everest base camp helicopter tour provides the fastest and easiest route to base camp.
A different way to Everest base camp
Some people feel that spending only a short time in the Everest region is insufficient. So they fly to the Everest View Hotel and start trekking for 7-8 days and enjoy the view and fly back to Kathmandu. A flyback from Gorekshap on a helicopter will cost you twice as much as the helicopter tour to Everest base camp. Some people also fly directly to Gorakshep.
Then stay a few days there by visiting the base camp and Kalapather, then take a helicopter to get to Kathmandu. Some people also take permission to sleep in the base camp by tenting from the government.
Another option is to do a normal trek to the base camp and Kalapather. Then fly back to Lukla by helicopter and then take regular flights to get to Kathmandu. This route is one of the quickest ways with fewer cost options. It is also a very popular option for people planning to do the EBC trek.
The Everest Mountain Flight is also another way to see Everest from afar. Some people choose this option because it is economical and offers opportunities to see the highest mountain.
Different trekking to base camp
Some people do not feel like just spending a short time in these regions, so they embark on a trek to Everest Base Camp, spending 15 days. Some people opt for the Everest Three High Pass Trek, which takes more days, while others prefer the Gokyo EBC Trek. People also trek to Everest Base Camp in a luxury way, including yoga and meditation.
Some people just do the Everest view trek, whereas some people stay longer, starting their trek in Jiri or Sallari and ending there too. This option avoids flights and helicopters, but requires a longer stay in the Everest region.
