There is also another viewpoint such as the 5th lake viewpoint. Another viewpoint from Gokyo valley is Renjo la top viewpoint. This all viewpoint have their own special things to offer for the trekkers which we describe below:

Everest viewpoint

This is the common viewpoint for most of the trek including Everest base camp trek. People do it from Namchebazar during acclimatization day. This viewpoint is also known as the Syangboche viewpoint. IT is just above Syangbochea airport. The viewpoint is on an elevation of 3900 meters. We can see many mountains including Everest from the viewpoint. The other attractive mountains are Thamserku, Amadablam, Kangtega, Kusum Kangaroo, Taubecha, Lhotse, Lhotse Shar and many more. It takes 3 hours and 3 km in distance.

Gokyo RI viewpoint

The viewpoint is on an elevation of 5360 meters. Viewpoint is just above Gokyo valley. That viewpoint takes 5 hours altogether. It is also the viewpoint for sunrise as well as a sunset. We can see beautiful Everest Himalayan ranges including Everest. The new mountain we can see is Makalu. The viewpoint also provides a wonderful view of Cho Oyu and some mountains of Tibet. The lake, as well as valley view below, is somethings that attract many people to Gokyo RI. Ngozumba glacier is also possible to see from top to bottom.

Fifth lake viewpoint

The fifth lake is known as the number 5 lake in Gokyo valley. The trek is popular for a full-day hike. Day hike to 5th lake takes 7 hours including rest stop and other breaks on the way. The fifth lake is on an elevation of 5000 meters. Despite low elevations, it offers a better view than Gokyo RI as well as Kalapather or any other viewpoint. People can see Everest, Mt Cho Oyu, Makalu, Nuptse, Lhotse and many more. If you are in Gokyo valley don’t miss this fifth lake view. The sixth lake has an even better view but needs to take to spend the night in the sixth lake.

Renjo la pass top viewpoint

This is another viewpoint that is very popular for its view. We can see of Everest Himalayan ranges as well as Makalu. The view of Tangi Ragi Tau, Rolwalling range as well as Gyachung Kang. Most of this viewpoint is for three pass trekkers as well as Renjo la pass trekkers. Now for a better view, many people who stay Gokyo valley do this as day trip instead of Gokyo RI.
