Introduction:

For many people, the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour is the ultimate life-changing adventure. Most of us know that Everest is the highest mountain in the world. The Everest helicopter tour is so popular because the helicopter drops you off and picks you up at Everest base camp. It is untrue that the flight tour to Everest base camp is exclusively for wealthy individuals. We offer a group tour that makes a helicopter ride to Everest accessible to everyone. The Everest Base Camp Heli joining cost is between US$1200 and $1500. The main highlight of the tour is the Everest Heli ride to Base Camp, which is located at 5364 meters. Below, we will introduce the details about the Everest Base Camp and the heli ride.

Three Everest Base Camps

Where the helicopter lands at Everest Base Camp is the question on many readers' minds. Here we will let you know. The map shows us two Everest Base Camps. The term "South Base Camp" also refers to this base camp located in Nepal. Everest is referred to as Sagarmatha in Nepali. The Sagarmatha Base Camp is another name for the Everest Base Camp. The second is the New Everest Base Camp. The first is the Old Everest Base Camp. Both are standing at 5364 meters above sea level.

The Tibet side of Everest Base Camp is a separate location. The North Everest Base Camp is another name for this base camp. It is located 5150 meters above sea level. Chomolungma base camp, also called Everest Chomolungma by the Chinese and Tibetan people, is another name for this base camp in Tibet. The one we currently visit is the recently established Everest Base Camp.

Recent Everest Base Camp (EBC) on the Nepal Side

The expedition crew set up camp in a tent at Everest Base Camp. While ascending Everest, the highest peak in the world, the climbers set up a tent camp. Situated under the Khumbu icefall on the Khumbu glacier lies the Everest Base Camp. Trekkers and tourists now frequently visit the Nepali side of the mountain, which is also known as the New Recent Everest Base Camp (EBC). At the New Base Camp, the climbers also set up a tent camp.

People are choosing the new base camps over the older ones as a result of this viewpoint. From the new base camp, we get a little better view of Everest than from the old one. There are expedition routes close to the New Base Camp.

The base camp is not a permanent location; instead, it shifts annually in response to glacier movements. There are thousands of tents and climbers waiting for the expedition window during the spring climbing season.

What do you mean by helicopter/chopper?

Arranging a chopper in advance is necessary for a helicopter trip to Everest Base Camp. Here we need to understand what you mean by helicopter/chopper. We are going to write a short description about it. Many people are unaware of what the name "chopper" or "helicopter" is. A type of rotorcraft is a helicopter. Rotors provide the thrust and lift. A helicopter is also referred to as a "chopper." The helicopter can fly and land vertically thanks to its rotors. This permits flying laterally, forward, and backward in addition to hovering.

The French word "HELICOPTER" is where the English word "helicopter" originated. Helicopters go by various names in English, including "chopper," "copter," "helo," "heli," and "whirlybird."

What is the Everest Base Camp Flight Landing Tour?

The Base Camp Helicopter Tour flight is the most popular tour in the Himalayas. Here you are doing Everest Heli service with Nepal's top helicopter operator. This Everest flight tour allows you to stand on the edge of the eight-thousand-meter mountains. The helicopter to Everest base camp will make you appreciate nature's magnificent shades and beauty. Although the tour was only affordable to wealthy individuals a few years ago, it is now accessible to a wider audience. Today, many middle-class travelers take the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour due to its popularity and group joining options. The Everest helicopter tour with Kalapather is the most demanding one due to landing on Kalapather. The Kalapather has the closest view of Everest, and we can see a 360-degree mountain view all around from this place.

Lack of adequate physical fitness prevents many people from taking on the challenge of trekking to Everest Base Camp. Some individuals who are unsure of their level of physical fitness put in a lot of practice and effort before going. Some travelers choose to combine yoga and fitness with their visit to Everest Base Camp, while others choose to travel in luxury. The main aim of both treks is to take travelers to base camp, but they follow different routes for exploration.

We can notice and see that many individuals won't be able to reach Base Camp despite putting in a lot of training and hard work. This situation will lead to wasted time and money. Therefore, the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Landing Tour is crucial to realizing people's dreams and drawing their attention.

The Everest Base Camp Heli Tour is an ideal substitute for difficult routes and other forms of altitude sickness. This helicopter tour highlights a new aspect of the majestic peaks and allows one to capture the beauty of Everest very close.

This helicopter landing tour to base camp is a fantastic option for a quick flying vacation for thrill seekers. Join Magic Himalaya Treks if being at the base camp is your desire. Enjoy the finest that the magnificent Himalayas have to offer in safety and security

Itinerary for an exciting full-day helicopter flight to Everest Base Camp

This is the whole itinerary for the helicopter tour of Mount Everest Base Camp.

From Kathmandu Airport (TIA), the itinerary entails flying over Jiri and Nagarkot, stopping at Tenzing Hillary Airport in Lukla for refueling, then flying over Syangboche and Tengboche, landing at Pheriche and Gorekshap, and ultimately arriving at Everest Base Camp/Kalapather. The helicopter will land at Syangboche after a 15-minute pause, and after hiking to Hotel Everest View, travelers will take a flight back to Lukla to refuel and then return to Kathmandu.

Phase One: Transportation from Kathmandu to Everest Lukla Airport (5:15–6:00 am)

The pickup time depends on how far you are from the TIA Airport. Thamel is an easy place to pick from. Our staff will drive you to the airport after picking you up in a car at your hotel. Other elements that impact the tour's expected duration include the weather and tower alarm.

Phase Two: Flight instructor briefing in the morning (6:15 am to 7:15)

Before you get into the helicopter, the flying instructor will give you a briefing. You will learn about helicopter safety procedures from the flight instructor. Throughout the session, you are free to ask any questions you may have. After introducing himself, the pilot will give you some last, important details. Thereafter, it's time to get into the helicopter and get ready for flight.

Phase Three: Fly to Lukla, climb Kalapather and Everest Base Camp, and then return to Kathmandu. (7:15–11:30 a.m.)

Our helicopter ride out of Kathmandu is about to begin. The helicopter departs Kathmandu and travels east to the Solukhumbu region's Lukla airstrip. Among the magnificent mountains we will pass over are Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung, and Gauri Sanker.

We will also be able to see places like Lamjura Pass, Ramechhap, Junbensi, and the famous Jiri, which is renowned as the Switzerland of Nepal. The flight lands quickly to refuel after reaching Lukla, which takes 15 to 20 minutes. We can browse around, stretch, and use the bathrooms here.

We'll fly over some beautiful Sherpa villages, including Namche, Phortse, and Pangboche, as well as some lush forest areas. The aerial vista is breathtaking: lush valleys and hills interspersed with snow-capped mountains that tower over the horizon. Kala Patthar is the highest point on your Everest helicopter trip.

It's fantastic that the landing in Kala Patthar will take ten minutes. In addition to enjoying breathtaking views, visitors can get up close and shoot pictures and films of Everest. The helicopter then departs Kalapather, passes over Tengboche, the Khumbu glaciers, and Everest Base Camp before landing at Syangboche Airport.

The Guinness World Records book includes the tallest hotel in the world, located just above the heliport. The Everest View Hotel was constructed in Japan and offers opulent facilities and services. We will return to Lukla to refuel after breakfast. It's time to take a plane back to Kathmandu.

Phase Four: Assessment of the Hotel Drive-Back and Everest Base Camp Heli Tour (12 to 12:30)

Our representatives will meet you when you arrive in Kathmandu and ask you about your impressions of the tour. We appreciate your candid feedback and ideas for enhancements. When you return to your hotel, your private vehicle will be ready to pick you up. You might get an email asking you to leave a review on websites such as TripAdvisor, Trustpilot, Facebook, Instagram, or the review part of our business website.

Others

Whether you are visiting on a walk or the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour, the Everest View Hotel makes its own bread and cakes that you can enjoy. For vegetarians, the hotel also offers excellent vegetarian cuisine.

Kala Patthar (5,550 meters) - Black Rock

Kala Patthar translates to "black rock" in Nepali. Situated slightly above Gorakshep and on the southern ridge of Mount Pumori is this black hill known as Kala Pathar. In the Khumbu Region, this spot is the best viewpoint. The closest distance to Mount Everest is visible at this position. The Sunrise helicopter tour to Everest Base Camp must land at the place called Kalapather, where people can see the best sunrise.

After finishing base camp, many people spend the night in Gorakshep merely to take in the breathtaking view from this black rock. In addition to the enormous Everest, there are numerous more mountains in the area, including Pumori, Nuptse, Changtse, Laubecha, Taubecha, Amadablam, and many more.

Everest Base Camp (5,364 meters)

The best thing about Khumbu and Nepal is the Everest Base Camp (EBC). You feel like the luckiest person in the world when you are standing at the base camp of the tallest mountain in the world and taking in the scenery and sunrise.

The trek to Everest Base Camp is the ideal location for travelers from across the world who want to hike or climb. It takes over a week for all the trekkers and climbers to get here, which is an adventure in itself.

When it comes to climbing and expeditions, the EBC resembles a market with an abundance of tents, people, yaks, and music. The easiest alternative route to EBC is a 4- to 5-hour helicopter trip to Everest Base Camp.

You can also take in breathtaking vistas of snow-capped peaks, including Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Pumori, and the Khumbu glacier, from the base camp of the tallest mountain.

Tenzing Hillary Airport, Lukla (2,860 meters)

One of the lovely little Sherpa settlements is Lukla. It is widely used as the beginning of a lot of adventure routes in the Everest region. All the people going to Gokyo Valley, Thama, Chhukung, and the foot of Everest have to go through Lukla. Lukla is well-known for its tiny, remote airport, from which frequent flights from Kathmandu depart in the morning.

As the highest airport in the world, this one is widely known. We can experience Sherpa culture and cuisine here because the majority of the population is Sherpa. Additionally, this area serves as a residence for people from the lower regions for business purposes.

CAAN New Regulations to Ensure Himalayan Heli Ride

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has released new rules to guarantee helicopter safety in the wake of the Manang Air helicopter crash during the Everest helicopter tour with Kalapather landing. Follow the CAAN New Regulations to ensure a Himalayan heli ride. The following guidelines will help prevent helicopter accidents:

  1. A team led by CAAN has been established to oversee and manage helicopter and STOL operations daily.
  2. The power to provide authorization for helicopter activities, including rescue flights, is to be consolidated at ATD from now until September, with a weekly check-in to ensure this clause is still in existence.
  3. Helicopter flower showering is to be postponed until September; non-essential flights such as mountain flights and external load operations (sling flights).
  4. The flight crew members who own stock in the company are not permitted to use their license for any kind of commercial flight.
  5. The above item 4 should be included in the AOCR for the necessary amendment in order to address a number of policy-level issues, including the enforcement manual.

Everest Base Camp Trek Vs Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour Vs Everest Base Camp Heli Trek

All three trips aim to reach Everest's base camp and get close to the mountain. One of these three completes this task in 12 days, another in 8, and a third in a single day.

One of the shortest trips in Nepal, lasting only a day, is the helicopter tour to the base of Mount Everest. We provide a more than week-long trip that includes the Everest Base Camp Trek and the Everest Base Camp Heli Trek. In this case, the one-day tour is pricier than the two longer treks.

While the other two involve a mix of trekking and a helicopter ride, the Everest Base Camp Helicopter with landing does not include any walking. The Everest Base Camp Trek and the Everest Base Camp Heli Trek perfectly combine hiking, walking, and taking in the mountain views. For the Everest base camp trek and helicopter return, we do not need to arrange a return airline ticket. But we do need to book both directions of plane flights for the Everest Base Camp Trek.

While accommodation is not required for a single day of the Heli Tour, it is for the other two treks. For the Heli Trek and Everest Base Camp Trek, we require a licensed trekking guide; an Everest helicopter tour is not necessary. The three journeys' respective cost differences are as follows:

The cost of an Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour ranges from $1390 to $6,000, depending on private options and sharing.

The cost of the trek to Everest Base Camp ranges from $1250 to $2300, depending on standard, budget, and basic luxury options. We can arrange for five stars in Kathmandu and perhaps five stars in the Everest Summit Lodge and Everest View Hotel, for a total of USD 5,000 per person.

The price range for the Everest Base Camp Heli Trek, based on standard, budget, and basic luxury options, is $2500 to $3000 USD. We are also able to provide five-star services while lodging in a five-star hotel.

All three, the Everest Base Camp Trek versus the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour versus the Everest Base Camp Heli Trek, have the main aim of fulfilling the dreams of people to see and be on the base of the world's highest mountain by a different way of travel. You can find the right Everest base camp trek operator for a successful visit.

Adventure Sports at Everest (extreme sports)

The Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour is an effortless thing to do that doesn't break any records. Mount Everest has long been the site of many winter activities and adventures. We can also do snowboarding, ice hockey, skating, skiing, paragliding, and base camping in addition to climbing mountains.

Sports had already started when Yuichiro Miura became the first person to ski down Mount Everest in the 1970s. She goes down about 1300 vertical meters. After that, many individuals went skiing on Everest. Many people also die and get hurt while playing these sports.

Steve McKinney was the first person to glide off a mountain. Jean-Marc Boivin, a Frenchman, was the first person to paraglide down Mount Everest. The trip was done in 1988. Two Nepalis climbed down from the top of Everest in 2011. It takes them 45 minutes to go down 5000 meters.

The drink company Red Bull sponsored Valery Rozov on May 5, 2013, the day he successfully BASE jumped off the mountain. He achieved a world record for the highest BASE jump while wearing a wingsuit, which is another impressive feat.

There are a lot of different adventure activities that occur at Everest, but not many people know about them.

Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour with landing Vital Information

Here is some of the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour with vital landing information in the Everest region. That vital information is very important for the passengers.

The weather in the Everest region varies throughout the off-season. Unpredictable weather can occasionally result in flight delays, cancellations, or complete changes.

  • In an emergency, the captain talks about where and when to land.
  • Depending largely on the situation, the captain can grant you a few more minutes to take in the view.
  • In case something goes wrong or you need oxygen, our entire helicopter is equipped with tanks.
  • If the conditions are not right, the helicopter will not land or take off.
  • The helicopter doesn't land for longer than ten minutes at high altitudes.
  • Please exit the helicopter only when the pilot signals during the landing phase.

Note: If you're interested in an Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour, make sure to check the weather.

WIFI and Mobile Networks on Everest Region

You can purchase a local SIM card and Internet data at the Ncell and NTC Desk as soon as you land at Kathmandu International Airport. The SIM card can be used for data usage and direct phone calls, both here in Kathmandu and in many other areas of the Everest region. It will be simpler to stay in contact with friends and family back home thanks to this.

The airport in Kathmandu offers complimentary WiFi, while the airport in Lukla does not offer this service. You do not have access to phone or internet networks upon arrival in Pheriche. There are strong mobile networks for making calls while arriving at Gorakshep; however, internet connectivity may be spotty.

While at the Everest View Hotel, the network and data function properly. Additionally, you can make better use of the WIFI at the Everest View Hotel by posting videos and accessing Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok Live. The cell and WIFI networks are gradually getting better. In the Khumbu region, there is an Everest link service.

Select the top networks to take the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour if you are a blogger or YouTuber.

Toilet Facilities during the Everest Base Camp Heli Tour

Compared to other treks or walking vacations, toilets on the helicopter tour to Everest base camp are a little more complex. All of the guest hotels have bathrooms for the trek and walking vacations, but when we are conducting heli flights, we can use the restrooms at Kathmandu Airport, Lukla Airport, or the Everest View Hotel. It is best to check into your hotel in Kathmandu first, then drive to the airport.

There are public restrooms available at airports in the buildings housing the domestic terminals. Additionally, the airport in Lukla has restrooms. If you plan to remain for a while, you can also use the restrooms at the neighborhood tea house in Lukla. There is a tea house with restrooms a short stroll from the landing area in Pheriche.

While using the natural environment for brief toilets is not ideal, there are other possibilities. The only options available to you when arriving at Kala Patthar are to use the five-star restrooms at the Everest View Hotel or to utilize the outdoors.

Drinking Water During luxury Helicopter ride to Everest Base Camp

Water is the second most important thing for life after air. Water is ubiquitous since it covers 71% of the earth's surface. The ocean has 96.5% of the water in it.

We must exercise caution when consuming water, as it is not possible to drink it all. While on the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Ride Tour, you should also consider the quality of the water.

You can pay people to bring it to you or ask pilots, which is a hassle. If you want to buy it, you have to walk toward the tea house in Pheriche. There is a river next to the heliport, but you can't drink it.

Because of where they live, the water in Thukla, Gorakshep, Lobuche, and Jongla may be dirty. The Everest View Hotel is the best spot to acquire water. The water is rather expensive, but the place is a five-star hotel.

Guide, Driver, and Porters for Scenic Everest Helicopter ride from Kathmandu

On the Scenic Everest Helicopter ride from Kathmandu, a guide is not present. Porter is not required for the tour by helicopter. We need a driver to take us to the airport and pick you up after the tour since it is a day trip.

Some people like to explore mountains using their guide. Therefore, we will provide the best guide who speaks excellent English at that time. The guide needs to be well-versed in both the route and the mountains to ensure everything runs smoothly. Take a guide with you if you are on a private trek and there is room for one. Having guides for the travel is worthwhile.

The Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour lasts for one day, not including the nights spent in Kathmandu. We will need around three hours for the flight, and we will require about four hours altogether, including breakfast and viewing time. It will also take us around an hour to drive to and from the Kathmandu airport. Occasionally, we have to wait for the weather to clear at the airport.

Participants in the Everest helicopter tour don't need to be fit, but they can be. It's wise to speak with a doctor prior to a tour to learn about any underlying heart, lung, or blood conditions. The tour can be fatal at any time.

If someone is interested in getting in shape, aerobic training, running, and swimming are suggested. This is helpful in everyday life as well as on this journey.

A Typical Day for a Successful Helicopter Tour

The trip is also a well-liked luxury tour that offers fantastic photo opportunities of the surrounding towns and mountains.

A helicopter tour requires a clear day with a lovely view of the mountains. We need clear weather in Kathmandu so that we can fly to Lukla airport to begin the tour.

We must finish the helicopter ride before the clouds appear because the weather in the Everest region is generally pleasant in the morning. To ensure a successful helicopter tour to the Everest base camp, we must steer clear of rainy days in the highlands and in Kathmandu.

To determine what will happen on any given day, we have to check the weather forecast. The best days for helicopter tours can be determined in part by Nepal's weather forecasts, though they are not always reliable. Choose a clear day for the unforgettable Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour experience.

Helicopter Landing Stop

Following takeoff from Kathmandu International Airport, the aircraft lands in Lukla. All helicopters land and arrive at Lukla's Tenzing-Hillary Airport. The elevation of the Lukla Airport is 2860 meters above sea level.

This airport has maintained its reputation as the most dangerous for over two decades. This area sees many helicopter accidents and disasters. At this airport, regular flights and planes have crashed as well. This location is home to numerous helicopter landing stops.

The Everest View Hotel will be the location of the helicopter's next landing. It is situated 3860 meters above sea level. The hotel is an exquisite Japanese establishment catering to both high-end travelers and luxury travelers.

Many travelers who are trekking to Everest Base Camp use this hotel. This is where everyone enjoying the Everest helicopter tour will eat breakfast and take in the views of Mount Everest.

Kala Patthar's perspective will be the next destination. Watch the Kala Patthar video. There's no way the chopper can land on top. Every helicopter lands at an altitude of around 5450 meters in the center of Kala Patthar Hill.

This vantage position offers a close-up and expansive perspective. You may also view the base camp from the Khumbu icefall. The helicopter lands on base camp as well if the weather is consistent. At the Everest base camp, helicopter landings are uncommon. Everyone wants to avoid the dangers of landing at base camp.

You get a sense of walking on top of the base camp and the Khumbu glacier during the helicopter flyby. After this wonderful excursion, the Everest base camp helicopter returns.

Additionally, we are the finest at organizing the Annapurna Base Camp Helicopter Tour. The following list identifies the four potential landing locations for the helicopter:

First Landing Point – Lukla Airport

Numerous landing sites are available in the Everest Himalayan regions for the Everest base camp helicopter tour. The first place on Everest to land is at Lukla Airport. If everything proceeds as planned and the weather permits, the helicopter will land at Lukla airport first, having taken off from Kathmandu.

In the event of an emergency or severe weather, it must divert or land somewhere along the route. The best chances of landing are at Surke if the weather in Lukla is awful.

Storing fuel is the primary reason for landing in Lukla rather than using a heavyweight aircraft. If necessary, the pilot and passenger are also permitted to use the restroom. The pilots have the ability to communicate and monitor the weather conditions overhead.

Second Landing Point - Pheriche

The helicopter takes off from Lukla and flies in the direction of Pheriche, the second landing site. We pass over Phakding, Monjo, Tangboche, Pangboche, and the Hillary Suspension Bridge in our flight. At a height of 4371 meters above sea level, Pheriche is located. Because the helicopter can only carry 240 kilograms, or three persons, the primary reason for landing here is to leave some weight behind.

Here, the helicopter stops for twenty minutes, giving you a chance to take some wonderful photos. Amadablam, Lobuche Peak, Cholatse, Toubecha, Chola, Long Pheriche Village, and several snow-capped mountains are visible.

Third Landing Point – Kala Patthar

From here, the limited-weight helicopter crosses Thukla, Thukla Pass, Lobuche, the Italian pyramid house, and Gorakshep on its way to Kala Patther. The third landing possibility for this heli trip is upon reaching Kala Patthar. The most photogenic 360-degree panorama view is available here. The massive Everest is visible up close. The best and closest view of Mount Everest (8848.86 m) is from this location.

This site will be our 20- to 30-minute stop. If the weather is good, the pilot will land the helicopter at base camp.

Fourth Landing point – Everest View Hotel

The helicopter returns to the Everest View Hotel after the commemorative landing on Kala Patthar or Everest Base Camp. The elevation of the Everest View Hotel is 3880 meters. You can have breakfast here while taking in the breathtaking view of Mount Everest.

We can see several more mountains in addition to Everest, including Lhotse Shar, Ama Dablam, Toubecha, Lhotse, and Thamserku. The helicopter makes a last, or finishing, touchdown in Kathmandu, Nepal, after landing in Lukla for refueling on the way back.

Weight Limit on Helicopter Flight

There is a weight restriction on the Everest base camp helicopter tour. The danger of flying higher and carrying more weight is the reason behind this regulation.

With five passengers, the helicopter can carry a maximum of 500 kilograms. At higher altitudes, the helicopter's carry capacity is lowered to 240 kg. It has the ability to decrease from 500 kg to 250 kg while flying above 4000 meters.

There is enough space for up to five people in the helicopter. If the flight is carrying three people or fewer, a helicopter will fly directly from Lukla to the Everest base camp. Three persons must weigh no more than 250 kg combined.

We also need to perform two shuttles from Pheriche if there are more than three persons and/or if the weight is beyond 250 kg. The additional shuttle came with additional fees. The cost of the group Everest Base Camp helicopter tour is split among the participants, while the private trip is extra and paid for separately.

Everest Helicopter tour Best flight Route

One of the most affordable helicopter tours to Everest Base Camp is the one-day helicopter landing tour. The helicopter flight to Everest Base Camp is another name for it. When taking the helicopter tour of the Everest base camp, we have to pass by these villages and locations.

Kathmandu Airport – Bhaktapur – Nagarkot – Jiri – Junbensi – Lukla – Nemcha – Tengboche – Pangbochea – Ferichea – Lobuche – Gorakshep – Kala Patthar – Everest Base Camp – Khumbu Glacier – Everest View Hotel – Lukla – Kathmandu. We divide the helicopter route to Everest Base Camp into four (4) phases, as mentioned below:

First Phase

Second Phase

We will fly to Namche Bazaar after refueling at Tenzing Hillary Airport in Lukla. Namche Bazaar is the capital of the Sherpa people and looks incredible from a helicopter.

The helicopter will land at Kala Patthar after passing over Namche, the Old Tengboche Buddhist monastery, Pangboche village, Pheriche, Thukla, Lobuche, and Gorakshep.

Third phase

It's time to leave after taking in the breathtaking vista of Kala Patthar and capturing some quality images and videos. We will fly above the Khumbu glaciers and make our way to base camp after taking off from Kala Patthar.

Thereafter, we'll take off again and land at the Everest View Hotel for breakfast. We'll spend some time here enjoying the scenery and breakfast.

Fourth phase

Important Notice about Flight Shuttle

Prior to anything else, you should be aware of this Flight Shuttle Important Notice. You need to understand the details about the helicopter shuttle. The helicopter always has a weight restriction when flying. The flight weight is dependent on the altitude at which the helicopter is operating.

At high altitudes like those of Everest or Annapurna, the helicopter's weight limit is less than that of the Terai Regions of Nepal. Thus, the highest mountain in the world, Mount Everest, is the subject of our discussion. Five paying passengers can ride in the helicopter during the tour to the Everest Base Camp. However, three persons' or more weight cannot be carried at high altitudes (250 kg).

To transport passengers to Everest Base Camp, we first fly in a helicopter loaded with guests to the Everest View Hotel. Out of the five individuals, two or three will remain in the Everest View Hotel, while the remaining three will do the first shuttle journey.

Those who have completed their journey remain at the Everest hotel for breakfast, while others board the next available shuttle, the second shuttle.

The double shuttle is necessary, and the cost is higher than the single shuttle if the helicopter is carrying a full complement of passengers. The Double Shuttle Helicopter Tour costs between US $5,000 and US $6,000. The price range for the single shuttle is $4,500 to $5,500 USD.

The Everest base camp helicopter tour is run with the aim to provide a landing facility to travelers at base camp. We will surely land on the Everest base camp. We also recommend land on Kalapather is worth it. The base camp doesn’t have a view on Everest but Kalapather has a 360-degree mountain view including Everest and Everest base camp.

The land on base camp also depends on wind speed. Sometimes the landslides damage the landing space on the base camp. In those cases, we will fly just over the base camp nearly touching the glacier of the base camp which makes us feel like being on Everest base camp. To have landed on base camp, we need to be very lucky with everything from weather, wind speed to the landing place.

Remember if you cannot land on base camp, we will make a landing on similar heights or even higher. From that landing, you can go to higher elevations until 5550 m which is Kalapather top and we do not need climbing equipment for that hike.

Yes this tour is possible to do for small kids and old people easily. I have organized many tours for small children as well as old people. Until now we have had smooth operations in this Everest base camp helicopter tour.

If you are making plans to bring kids and old parents or some others then we will operate the tour in a more careful way. the kids and old people may feel difficult in higher elevations but we are well prepared for such kinds of situations if it arrives or are seen while doing Heli flights.

Yes there is an oxygen cylinder in the helicopter. People doing the Everest base camp helicopter tour can use this oxygen if needed. The pilots will help you to use oxygen in case of emergency as well as if you need it.

Sometimes the cylinder will be empty so that might bring big problems. To avoid such problems we mostly carry an extra cylinder with oxygen full. We also check the oxygen cylinder regularly so we will have smooth operations and no one has to suffer from no oxygen at high altitudes. Our helicopter will also supply oxygen cylinders to the hotels situated at different places on the Everest trails as well as other trekking trails in Nepal.

The pilot is very well knowledge about the place as well as has done more than 500 trips. The pilots' are well experienced as well as very professional. He is very familiar with mountains and areas which makes him experts tell and briefing people about the regions and mountains.

You can ask him/her any questions related to the Everest base camp helicopter tour. Pilots are trained well and did many flights. One of the best viewpoints he/she will stop for some best pictures and views. Pilots are the one who is most familiar with this area.

There is not a single penny as an income but the expenses such as food, rent & living are there for all. If we cannot come to have income then life will be hard for them as well as the country's economy will go down. To avoid such problems for people and nations, the Nepal government has decided to open flights and operate tourism by taking safety measures.

Yes, there is news about the Everest base camp changes on BBC, CNN, and many other news Channels. Magic Himalaya Treks team recently been to base camp and found a base camp at the same place where it used to be last time. It might change soon because the glacier is moving and changing its shape. We all know that the base camp change with glacier moves.

Yes the group Joining Heli landed many places. The reason behind landing at Everest view hotel is to drop 2 people there and take only three people. The helicopter only carries 270 kg at high elevations. Those who stay at the Everest view hotel can walk and enjoy the view of the Himalayan range and take some pictures and videos of the surrounding.
